The Friends of the Old Forge Library, founded in 1977, is a volunteer organization whose goals are to promote library programming and to help raise revenue to support the library.  The group sponsors Authors’ Day, Art Exhibits, and events of local interest such as Adirondack Programming. In addition, the Friends publish four newsletters a year. Revenue is raised through book, bake, & bazaar sales, and their annual BASH Benefit.
The Friends meet on the first Tuesday of each month at Noon and welcome new members.

  1. Good Morning,
I’m contacting the Friends of the Old Forge Library on behalf of the Antique Boat Show committee. The show takes place this weekend (July 13) and we would like to know if members of your group would be interested in serving coffee and donuts under the tent. We’ve missed you in recent years and people are always wanting to know where they can get a cup of coffee.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you’d be interested.

    Thank you
