Madagascar: The Land of Lemurs, Chameleons & Baobabs Presentation by Diane Bowes

September 11, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

Diane Bowes will give a powerpoint presentation of her trip with National Geographic co-led by Patricia Wright, the world’s leading authority on lemurs.  Madagascar is the 4th largest island in the world and while being only 250 miles off the coast of Africa, 90% of the wildlife is found nowhere else.  The trip included visits to rain forests, the spiny desert and dry highlands that looked like our far west.  Each new habitat brought encounters with different species, landscapes and a glimpse of daily life in this fascinating country.
